Pregnancy in my 20’s
“Pregnancy comes in all shapes and experiences”.
— Chapter1mum
I can’t believe it is July already, can you? i do hope wherever you are in the world you are enjoying the sun and cool breeze. definitely trying to make most of the sunny days here in the UK. WOW! This year has zoomed by i am now 9 months pregnant and waiting to pop! In my excited state i decided to create a due date calendar and boy let me tell you i am crossing off the those days quicker than you can utter the words “baby boy”.
The months have gone by in flicker, that picture you see before you was taken in early February, which is what 6 months ago. I do believe i was nearing the end of the first trimester, the definition of sick and tired does not cut it. Really I should not complain too much as i felt mainly nauseated and was only sick a couple of times. It was tragic though when the doctor instructed that i do not eat for 24 hours, my poor poor hungry tummy oh the memories of pain. Talk about eager beaver my hand was on my belly from day 1 anticipating that round belly to come. At that point the thoughts of the baby’s gender, how they would look and sound had flooded my mind, i did start to pick out names as well. I know, i know, i know the excitement took over but can you blame me.
on the same day the picture was taken my friend was celebrating her 21’st birthday which we all know is a big one! 21 is for sure a milestone and feels like the real beginning of adulthood. Many of us want to turn 21 and stay 21 forever but unfortunately that is not the case but as they say you are only as old as you feel. So feel free to stay 21 because we are all secretly doing it especially my father hahaha!
Don’t get me wrong i L O V E my bump and i am so pleased with how my bubba is growing, but and it is semi big but i do miss fitting in to my smaller clothing items. The changes to my body are still new to my mind and i still have more processing to do when i see my postpartum body. Praying that my body goes back to normal in flash, however i have to be realistic and understand that my body has been through a hard journey. That journey lasted nearly a whole year.
